The bright light that morning, it wasn't a star
Although in my mind, it was one, afar
Just a humble old street light, alone in the street
Way off in the distance, with light for our feet
But just like the stars, it would fade all too soon
To pale in the daytime, out there with the moon
And as the sun sets and dips slowly from sight
That star, my lone street light, will flick back to life
